“All wonders you seek are within yourself.” – Sir Thomas Browne
Good morning beautiful,
I was thinking a lot in the past couple of days. This lockdown is not such a bad thing, after all. It depends on you, on how you look at things. Every coin has two sides, right?
Like success, the saying “find yourself” or “find your inner voice” might have different meanings for different people. The process of self-discovery is not a one or two days, or a year process. I realized that finding yourself is a lifelong process, where you continuously learn and grow in your unique essence.
Discovering yourself means to realize your self-worth, find your confidence and YOUR beliefs.
For some people, finding yourself might come naturally when spending time alone in nature, on a trip around the world, living for a while in an ashram or now, in this confinement. Spending time alone helps you focus on who you truly are, recognising your emotions and the trigger behind them, learning to control your emotions in your favour, in a positive, healthy way.
For some means to live in the moment; for others, the process of finding who you are, takes much longer, including failures, pain and changes in direction.
I believe I belong to this category. And I have realized that the present moment, all that is happening now around the world, the fact that I have been “forced” to slow down, is what I needed to find myself. To get to know me better. To recognize my self-worth and be sure about the direction I want to go from now on. MY direction.
What about you, beautiful? Did you already find yourself? Are you there?
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” – Mahatma Gandhi.
I wish you all love, peace and happiness, and to have the courage to find yourself, to go on YOUR path, to find your INNER VOICE.
Much love,
Krisztina
