Hello everyone, hope you are all well, safe and healthy.
In London, despite all odds, it is a beautiful spring, the sun is shining, and the wind is not that cold as usual, and I am really happy.
How do You feel guys? Are you all ok? How do you cope with the fact that you are not able to do your day to day activity like you used to do a couple of weeks ago? Do you notice any changes? It feels good or makes you feel anxious?
The lockdown, or the “slow down” how I call it, has its good and very good parts too because, to me, it is the time when finally, I can pay attention to myself, to know myself better. I am in the process of learning to pay attention to the signals my body is sending to me, learning to slow down, learning just to “be” and enjoying every moment.
I don’t watch television, and I don’t listen to the news. I can find out everything I need to know, even what I don’t want to know, by simply scrolling down on my social media. I have controversial feelings about all what is happening all around the world, feeling happy and sad at the same time. But I am not here to judge the capacity of decision making of certain people; I am here to learn and grow, to focus on the positive and keep calm. Yes, there are and will be difficult situations in my life too if the lockdown will not end up soon, but now, I learn to let go, to be happy and appreciate what I already have; to be grateful for what is yet to come.
“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” – Zig Ziglar.
In the last 6 articles, I talked about basic human emotions, because I wanted to point out how you can start to know yourself better, how to grow and be better every day. When you can recognize your emotions, and identify the triggers, then you will be able to manage them in your favour.
As Marya Mannes says
“The sign of an intelligent people is their ability to control their emotions by the application of reason.”
Everybody is in search of the emotion of happiness; but let’s face it, we are humans; and before we experience happiness, we may experience anger, disgust, sadness, fear or surprise as well. And, when you learn to recognize and manage them correctly, then you will learn to grow in your unique essence.
Then, you can learn to listen to your inner voice; then you will find the strength, hidden inside you, to keep going on, and build the life that you have always wanted.
I wish you all much love, peace and happiness, and to have the courage to listen to your inner voice.
Much love,
Krisztina
