EMOTIONS – FEAR

Emotions influence the way we live and interact with others, but if I would ask you to define what are emotions, I believe that it would be hard to express them in words. Emotions have something in common – they all come from inside; from within you.

Let’s take a glance at these emotions: happiness, sadness, fear, disgust, anger and surprise. These emotions can be combined, and the result is different feelings. Emotions are the colour of your life.

Today I am going to talk about FEAR.

Fear is one of the most powerful human emotions and plays an immense role in survival. As you know, when you experience the emotion of fear your brain and body will enter into either flight or fight response.

Fear is the response to an immediate threat. it is an instinctive reaction.

However, what you have to think about is that fear weakens our immune system and can cause damage such as accelerated ageing and development of various illnesses. On the same time, fear prevents personal growth and progression in life. It limits us to live our best lives and to become a better person. That is the reason why overcoming fears can expand the opportunities and possibilities that surround us. The art of letting go of fears can bring you peace of mind and good mental health.

Being fearless doesn’t mean eliminating fear but knowing how to leverage it.  Fear is only part instinct, what is a healthy fear, however, there are fears what are learned or taught. For example, we learnt to be afraid of certain people, places or situations, because of an association with negative past experiences, what can be ours but can be experiences of others. Most often, the negative past experiences of others. Also, often fear is imagined. Think about this.
