A MORNING IN LONDON

20181010_071012_0001

A weekday morning in London. 11.30 am. I’m in a crowded coffee place. Canary Wharf. The centre of the world. I guess. Or whatever. Freshly prepared natural food, they said. Strange, but what is really “natural” nowadays? It seems like everyone is in a rush. Like they are running against time. Time, the most valuable thing what we all have on this Earth. People in suits, trying to look smart, important and really busy. Not a tiny smile on their face. What’s wrong with this world? Business man and woman, talking business, grabbing their coffee or juice, maybe eating that freshly prepared, natural food.

And then there is this simple, friendly girl at the till. She smiles at me. Not because it is her job to smile on every customer, she gave me a real smile. I was slightly surprised. Because her smile was sincere. She is not wearing suits, she doesn’t want to look like someone who she is not, she is radiant. Then I realized she is pregnant. I’m waiting for my warm latte (I never drink hot latte) and my ham and cheese sandwich, looking for an empty table. Hunting for an empty table 🙂

And then, suddenly she is near my table. It’s not the first time that we met, I come here at this coffee shop in the middle of the City every Monday and Tuesday. It’s like a routine. But we have never talked before, except maybe a good morning and the usual “How are you?”

She is very excited, she is expecting her baby boy mid November. Oh, London. Big city life. She is young. Full of life and expectations. But London can be cruel, heartless. One wrong move and you are out of the game. But one good move, one good decision and then suddenly you are on the top of the world, I you have no idea how did you get there.

I really hope that she’s going to make it. In London. Probably somewhere else. We all deserve happiness, we all deserve wealth and a good life. It’s only a matter of a good decision making. Gratitude. Attitude. Faith.

Make good decisions in life. Always. As you deserve a good Life. And don’t forget to SMILE. Every day smile 🙂

Love, Cristina
